IN vu meter
Does in IN vu meter only work with the internal microphone or should it also show when I have a guitar plugged in using an iRig HD2 interface.

Yes, the input VU Meter should show all coreaudio inputs, i.e USB interfaces and internal and headset mics. The number of columns will reflect the number of input channels available.
