Inputting guitar if apple removes lightning port?

Reading a lot about the new iphone ditching the lightning port.

Does anyone know how you'd get a signal into it? Or if they plan to replace it with a USB C port?

Good question, lol. There was some talk of removing all ports completely on high end models, but that would delegate the iPhone to a non-professional device unless Apple can provide a lossless high bandwidth low latency wireless connection.
