Best app to add effexts to MT DAW tracks?

Hi,
Still ne to Multitrack DAW but already loving it. The lack of effects is something I knew going into it but are there any apps out there that I could use to add effects (equalizer, reverb, delay, etc.) to my MT DAW tracks?

For example, In MT DAW I lay down an acoustic guitar sound but then want to buff up the low range on it. Could I Copy/Paste it into an app that would let me model an equalizer, then paste it back into MT DAW?

Another example would be recording a drumbeat, then copy/paste it into an app that would let me add.. I dunno, a bitcrusher effect on it!

Is this type of stuff possible? And if so, what apps would you guys/gals recommend?

Also, have come across the moog filtatron app, which lets you do some pretty cool modification on sound files. Best imhave found so far for the job i listed above.

Beatmaker is a great drum app with built in bit crusher.
