Here's a sample of Multitrack DAW recording acoustic instruments. Recorded live, one pass, iphone4 placed in the middle of four of us laid on a table. Just used the mic on the iphone and MT DAW.

For the record... much better with headphones on, barley pop or squished grapes on hand in a glass!
